General Notices:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Windsor, located in Broome County, will hold a public hearing on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the Community House, at 107 Main Street, Windsor, New York 13865, to consider a franchise agreement with Leatherstocking Gas Company, LLC, for a non-exclusive natural gas distribution pipeline, for a fifty (50) year term. A copy of the agreement is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Village Clerk's Office.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the environmental significance of said franchise agreement, if any, will be reviewed incident to and as a part of said public hearing.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at said public hearing. In addition, written comments may be submitted to the Village Clerk prior to or at the public hearing. Should anyone require services or aid at the hearing as a result of a disability, please contact the Village Clerk in advance of said public hearing.

Please take time this Memorial Day to say a prayer for all our Soldiers and give Honor to all our Fallen Soldiers.

It's great to have the Farmer's Market back open! Thank you everyone for all your time and hard work and your efforts to make our community better. Come visit them every Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

TRASH TO TREASURE RUMMAGE SALE - You won't want to miss this exciting sale - a huge Trash to Tresusre Rummage Sale at the United Methodist Church, 56 Chapel Street, Windsor, on Saturday, May 19th from 9:00am to Noon, with a bag sale from Noon to 2:00pm.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST at the Zion Episcopal Church on Sunday, May 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

JOB FAIR There will be a JOB FAIR at the WIndsor Community House on Thursday May 24th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please bring copies of your resume, if you are able. The following companies will be there: Leatherstocking Gas Company, Maines Paper, Lowes, Raymond Corporation, Willow Run, Bridgewater Gas Company, Staffkings, Broome/Tioga BOCES, and more.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 571 MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITIES - Memorial Day activities will be on Monday, May 28th. Services will start at the Flag Pole at Memorial Park located next to the Community House at 8:00 a.m. They will then proceed to the old Rt.17 Bridge going east out of the village; then proceed to Knox Cemetery in Ouaquaga; then proceed to the Village Cemetery located on New Street; then proceed to the South Windsor Cemetery on Rt.79 south just past Edson Road. At 10:30 the parade will start from the corner of Main and Elm Streets. The parade will proceed down Main Street to the Riverside Cemetery, located across from the Windsor High School. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery.
